The index of innovative training practices in SMEs

What is the index?

The index of innovative training practices in SMEs is a collection of examples of training setups for industrial SME employees. Each training setup has been studied, evaluated and classified by the partners of the project.

Do you know that...?

* It is possible to be trained on technical content using innovative technology that facilitates the access, the efficiency and the monitoring of the training for a SME?

* It is possible to be trained from a SME, totally or partly by Internet or using audio, video conference or telephone?

* Even people with a low level qualification can be trained using information and communication technology with an adapted support?

* It is possible to find finances to set innovative training up for a SME?

* A collaborative work within a training network can be set up in order to create the conditions for a learning organisation?

Some examples among the 29 setups described in the index

Employees of sawmills in Lorraine (France), are being trained from their companies using audio/videoconference, 2h/day for 200h, in order to receive a European certification related in the field of wood work (Xylopass certification).

In Spain, technicians of industry are being trained on distance programmable logic controllers and use a simulator which accesses a physical controller by the Internet.

Technicians update their knowledge on helicopter technical maintenance in a training class or from different places in Norway with a video conference system.
